CALM4us Inaugural 5-Day Intensive WRAP Facilitator Training
In November 2009, Consumers Asserting Leadership in Montana (CALM4us) held its first Wellness Recovery Action Planning™ - WRAP Facilitator Training in Helena Montana. Selected applicants from across the state of Montana came together to participate in a 5-Day Intensive Facilitator training, preparing them to facilitate Mary Ellen Copeland’s “Introduction to Recovery” including Wellness Recovery Action Planning™ (WRAP).
Copeland Center Certified Advanced Recovery Educators Michelle Lewis, Laura Anderson, and Mike Smith, members of CALM4us, facilitated the training.
Throughout the training, participants exhibited tremendous commitment to the process as they completed necessary elements to receive their certificate of achievement. Through this process the shared with peers their belief in recovery, as well as, the positive impact that WRAP has had in their lives, They also shared their knowledge of all aspects of Wellness Recovery Acton Planning during a question and Answer session. Participants exhibited their presentation and facilitation skills as they co-facilitated portions of the WRAP workshop among fellow participants as peers.
The Advanced Certified Recovery Educators within CALM4us would like to congratulate the newly trained WRAP Facilitators in our state and commend them on their courage and tenacity they exhibited throughout the training. We also commend them in their commitment and pledge to uphold the Values and Ethics upon which Wellness Recovery Action Planning™ (WRAP) has been built.
